Speed Score
What is it?
The Speed Score is an Aximote value between 0 and 100. It evaluates the efficiency of the driven speed. The score is not intended to assess traffic rule violations, but purely the energetic efficiency of the speed.
How it works
The score analyzes the speed profile of a trip. As a rough rule of thumb, speeds between 50 and 90 km/h are considered particularly efficient. Very low or very high speeds tend to result in a lower score.
Why it matters
Aerodynamic drag increases with the square of speed, meaning that driving fast costs a tremendous amount of energy. At the same time, very slow trips are often inefficient because auxiliary systems draw power from the battery over a longer period. The Speed Score helps you find the most efficient cruising speed.
The Aximote Advantage
With Aximote, you can see at a glance how your chosen speed affects efficiency. Through native integration into the vehicle system, Aximote analyzes your driving data in real-time and provides an objective Speed Score to help you optimize your range.
