Aximote was founded in 2025 by Laurenz Hinterholzer (CEO), David Schröder (CTO), and Philipp Hellmayr (Head of SE) with a clear vision: to end the era of the car as a black box. While we are used to evaluating data about steps, heart rate, or sleep with fitness trackers, our often very expensive and technically highly developed cars continue to seem like a black box to their owners. Manufacturer apps usually only provide basic information such as range or state of charge; deeper analyses of journeys, efficiency, or driving behavior are missing. This is where Aximote comes in. We are developing a manufacturer-independent, fully software-based solution that reads vehicle data directly in the vehicle and prepares it in an understandable way – without additional hardware. Aximote is like a fitness tracker for the car.
